Parent Teacher OrganizationScouting at Saint Rita SchoolScout Week at St. Rita School: Sept. 28–Oct. 4School hallways will be decorated with scouting posters and displays to show St. Rita School students the fun and adventure that is scouting. Leaders will be visiting classrooms to promote all the levels of Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts. Scouts are allowed to wear their scouting uniforms all week! (Except Tuesday which is picture day. Girls, wear your vests over your St. Rita uniform.) Cub Scouts will have a Sign Up/Information Night on Sept. 24th at 7:00pm in the Extended Day space for new and returning scouts, and those who just want to find out more. Also, look for scout representatives at Back To School Night on Sept. 29th to answer questions and give information. The popular Ice Cream Social is a fun night to celebrate scouting and meet new friends. All present and new scouts and those just interested in getting more information are invited to attend on Oct. 1st at 7:00pm in the Extended Day space. Scout Sunday is Oct. 4th: all present and new scouts should attend the 11:15am Mass at St. Rita Church at which Fr. Horkan will speak about scouting and honor each scout with a special patch for attending. Scouting opportunities exist for girls in all grades at St. Rita School and Parish and for boys in grades 1–5. Scouting offers education, new experiences and adventures and family bonding. For more info, fill out this form and return it to school; someone will contact you. “On time” registration deadline is Sept. 30th.
